I’m back, major Sweeter Than Sin changes

Hello all ♡

Welcome back to ze blog. In honor of Wicked releasing in theaters this week, here’s a wicked themed photoshoot of the leading (and supporting) ladies of Sweeter Than Sin.

I actually have a million reasons why I took a break but honestly it doesn’t matter now. Hopefully I’m able to get back into regularly posting again.

There are two changes that I want to take for Sweeter Than Sin

For one, I want to change the names of two characters. Let’s start with this cutie:

    TBH, the name Evelyn has never resonated with me for her. It makes me think of basketball wives. Before settling on Evelyn, her name was yoyo-ing between Nadia and Nadine. So here’s her new name…. drumroll pls….

    E M I L E N E S A T O

    I wanted to keep it similar to Evelyn to not confuse readers (and myself). Also, I think Emi is a cute name and popular for Japanese girls. Also, I wanted to give her a name similar to Marlene’s since Ken JR has Ken’s name. Trust me, it’s important for the story.

    The second character that is renamed is….

    Now that we have Emilene, I thought Eliana’s name was too similar. And since she’s not a main character like Emi is, I figured changing her name too wouldn’t hurt. Also, I wanted a more mature name since this character is a woman in her 50s. So her new name is…..

    C A R M E N O L I V A R E S

    Unlike Emi’s new name, there’s no super connection to her new name. I just like the name Carmen. It sounds like a woman who doesn’t play.

    I started retagging and rewriting Emi’s chapters with her new name but I have yet to do Carmen’s.

    Before we proceed, here’s some pictures.

    The second thing that I want to address is the plot. We’re not far into the story so it won’t change anything that has happened so far but I do want to change the trajectory. This means there might be some slight personality changes to the characters. Honestly, it probably won’t be noticed. I don’t want to say whose destiny will be changed yet but once I wrap this story up, I’ll reveal it!

    Also, just a reminder we do have a trigger warning page as this story plans to explore some pretty dark topics and themes.

    Last thing, I’ve decided to move everything to a new save file. I started doing this before my break but I was still playing in the old save file to get content out but wow my save is corrupt. Of course that’ll take some time but not 3+ months.

    Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys the upcoming holidays. Thank you for sticking by me and reading my story. Or, thank you for just looking at the pretty pictures.

    New Series…Sorta

    Hey guys. Happy Hump Day.

    First of all, thank you for following along with my story. Even though I’m only three chapters in, I feel like I’ve written an encyclopedia’s worth of words LOL. If you’re not aware, I post this story to my tumblr as well but tbh I’m very inconsistent with posting. I’ve been considering new ways to show my story and I think I’ve figured it out – YouTube! The Youtube series will be the same story but more of a summary format with all of the pictures from this blog. I’ve started listening to more podcasts and this is the closest I can get to that format.

    I haven’t figured out the pacing of the YouTube videos yet but I have no intention on slowing down on posting due this “new” series! Chapter 4 is already in the works BUT since the last update, my save file won’t load so I might have to create a whole new save file. Hopefully I can figure out the issue before it comes to that!

    To celebrate my new series, I think I want to do a pack giveaway for the next new pack so keep an eye out for that post as well.

    Hope you enjoyed the random photos I included of Evelyn and Cheyenne throughout the post. I saw the dresses on DHM and wanted to see the girls in them but I knew that the photos won’t fit into the story so I’m sharing them here lol. Here’s also a photo of my simself meeting my own creations. Of course Chey blows me off while Ev is being a sweetheart lol!

    Thanks for checking out Sweeter Than Sin. It’s an idea I’ve had in my head for years that is finally coming into fruition. Full transparency, it will be randomly updated. I’m studying to go back to school and I work a full time job. I will update when I can and try to bring you all the drama, the laughs, the tears and so much more.

    New Year, New-ish!

    I am so grateful to finally say that it’s 2024. To put it lightly, 2023 kicked my ass. I ended 2023 with a death in my family and a stressful disaster at work. Therefore, there was a funeral to attend at the top of the year and major work to catch up on! Not a great way to start the year but I won’t let that get to me! I am determined to make the most of my year and that includes returning to my story Sweeter Than Sin.

    I have updated the Family Ties page. There you can see the major families that are going to be featured throughout this story. Below is the Sato/Fox/Busch family tree. Hopefully this family tree with help visual the relationship between the sims. You can also view a version at Sims Legacy Hub. So to celebrate the new year, let’s get some new shit on this blog! Part 3 of Chapter 1 is scheduled to post this week and I’m working hard on Part 4 so it’ll be out before the end of January.

    The Renaissance Round Up

    I really liked this recent photo of Beyonce and when I saw @daniel-sims remade the outfit (another beautiful remake btw), I had to make my sim self try it on lol

    There probably isn’t going to be another post from me this year. I thought I would have more time to work on my story but this holiday season kicked my butt so January will conclude Chapter 1 of Sweeter than Sin. Also, I will be moving some of my Chocolat content over. 2024 is going to be filled with some really great content from me!

    I hope everyone has a great holiday season. I’m super excited for the New Year. Personally, 2023 was a tough year for me so I’m welcoming 2024 with open arms! ~~❤︎
