“There’s only one Sato left” Maverick said. “The forgotten one.”
“Maverick.” Bianca warned.
“Please. Don’t act like you didn’t notice.” Maverick snickered. Bianca did notice a certain misplacement of Emilene’s role in the family opposed to Ken’s but it wasn’t her place to judge. That’s not why she was here. She was here to solve a case and Emilene’s disconnection from the Sato family could prove to be a vantage point for the investigators.

“It smells like fast food in here.” KJ stated as he made his way in the hotel room.
Bianca glanced quickly eyed down Ken Jr. He had disheveled hair and his clothes looked like he thrown them on after picking them up off his bedroom floor. And of course, the man who complained about the smell of grease, drowned himself in a heavy cologne. Not only was Ken late, he was annoying.

It never snowed in Oasis Springs.
Maverick absorbed the sight of the snow dancing in the sky by counting every flake.
47, 48, 49…
Wait… was that the 49th flake? Maverick wasn’t quite sure since his blinks started to evolve into standing naps.
The Olivares were on the next flight out of Oasis Springs after receiving Ken Sato’s midnight call requesting a 7 AM call time. While Maverick felt tried and haggard, Bianca was filled with excitement.
It was go time.

Oasis Springs – Sunday, January 7th, 2024
“They’re here!” the sound of the knocking on the door nearly made Eliana’s heart jump out of her chest. As soon as Mauricio got back to Oasis Springs, Eliana was given clear instructions: Plan a family dinner.
So she did. She cleaned the house, looked up a new recipe and sent a funny text in the family group chat to make sure the kids knew they were required to be here.
“I’m so happy to see you,” Eliana said as she buried herself between her son’s and his girlfriend’s face. Maverick was used to his mother over pouring her love.
Bianca was not.
